The Outstanding Achievement Award for Helicopter Aviation on the night of December 10, 1987 for the successful rescue of two people under extreme weather conditions of severe turbulence, winds between 50 and 70 knots and seas of 25-30 feet. The aircraft had to be removed from service after the flight due to overtorqued transmission, overstressed rescue hoist and wrinkles of the skin of the aircraft due to airframe stress.
